The McCormicks
"After living in Scottsdale and Miami,
now at work, with family, at play...
this really feels like home"

"The people are incredibly friendly here," is the first observation of Jeff McCormick. And his wife Julie notes, "Other places we've lived, the neighbors hardly even spoke to us. They didn't even look up or acknowledge us when we passed on the street. We truly feel welcome here."

They like the comfortable neighborhoods in Hutchinson, particularly theirs. "Everything is so well manicured. There are lots of trees. We just love it!" They also appreciate the wide choices of churches in the area and how welcoming they are were."We visited quite a few and are very happy with our church home."

With two young children, Carson and Cooper, she especially appreciates that "shopping is so close and convenient. They have everything we need and it doesn't take a long, time-consuming outing. It makes life a lot easier." Then she quickly adds, "And there are parks everywhere! They're well-kept parks that are a joy to visit."

Jeff's career -- he is now general manager and director of golf at Cottonwood Hills -- has taken him to such noted venues as Camelback in Scottsdale, Doral in Miami, and Ritz Carlton in Jupiter (FL) before choosing to take advantage of the opportunity here in Reno County. So he has plenty to compare when he says, "It feels like home here."

Julie makes a comparison of the health care environment: "We had our second child here and found the hospital and doctors wonderful. It was so much better than our experience in Florida."
"On top of everything else," Jeff says, "Reno County has such a reasonable cost of living!
